| Description. We
are on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef which has excellent diving
and is the largest Marine Park in the world. We are the international
gateway to the magnificent Wet Tropics Rainforest which is world heritage
listed. Our beautiful newly renovated home is built on an island
surrounded by our private lake which is stocked with barramundi, other
varieties of fish and spectacular abundant native bird life. It is truly a
birdwatchers paradise. We are only 10 minute drive to the centre of Cairns
and our little suburb has a lovely beach, shopping village , popular local
restaurants and cafes, public transport all just a short walk from
home. The three bedrooms have queen size beds - two rooms have en-suite bathrooms and the third room has a bathroom adjacent. Our kitchen, lounge and dining room are all open plan living and the dining room has lovely french doors opening onto a large balcony overlooking the lake and bird life. I have two very friendly dogs which I would like to have stay at home but can make alternative arrangements if the need arises. It would be just my husband and myself traveling and we are very flexible with dates and length of stay. If Cairns interests you please get back to me, it is a wonderful friendly place.
