| Description. Mt. Tamborine is
situated in the elevated hinterland behind Queensland's Gold Coast. It is
a 40 minute drive to the centre of the Gold Coast and the beaches. Mt.
Tamborine has all the usual facilities - doctors, dentist, several small
shopping centres, pubs etc. There are no shopping malls, but these are
only 30 minutes drive away. Mt. Tamborine is a nature lovers paradise,
with several National Parks and plenty of walking tracks. Our house is
situated on the edge of Joalah National Park, with views over the
rainforest. We have 3 bedrooms (one set up as a study) 2 bathrooms, 2
toilets, living room, dining room, kitchen, and a large covered verandah
with views across the rainforest. The main bedroom has a queen size double
bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is a fold out double
bed in the study. We have polished timber floors. There is no reticulated
water and we rely on rainwater, which is usually in plentiful supply.
There is also a carport. It would! be helpful if our exchange could water our garden from time to time, and of course we would do likewise. We have no pets. We would like to exchange with someone in Tasmania, preferably Bellerive or adjacent, but will consider other similar locations. We are looking at a 4 to 6 week exchange over Christmas 2002. We are a retired Sales Manager (he) and a Teacher (she). We can exchange any time between November 2002 to mid January, 2003. We would consider exchanging cars, but would like to discuss this. |
