Description. We have a rustic,
traditional style home on a sea-cliff in Newfoundland's oldest (pre 1600)
fishing village. The the ocean view is on both sides of the house.
Newfoundland is much like the American New England States 50 years ago,
unsophisticated, quiet and few tourists, The island which is Canada's best
kept secret has quaint 'outports' (villages), friendly neighbours, and
beautiful land and ocean scenes. Great hiking, whales, historical sites,
ecological sanctuaries. Our house has few luxuries but contains basic
comforts with simple but adequate cooking and bathing facilities. The 2
bedrooms will accommodate 4 people comfortable. Parking is available and
shopping is a 15 minute drive into the town of Bay Roberts. Port de Grave
is about a 1 hour drive from the international airport in historic St.
John's, the provincial capital.
