Description. Our home is located on
Galiano Island, one of the pristine Southern Gulf Islands off the coast of
Vancouver. It is a large character home set on 10 private park-like acres
- a mix of old growth forest and pastoral land. The house has been
constructed with post and beam and therefore has high ceilings and a very
open and spacious great room. it is bright and sunny with several sky
lights. It sleeps 10 comfortably, and is ideal for 2-6. Children are
welcome. 700 square feet of deck wraps around 2 sides of the house. The
house comes fully equipped - washer/dryer, TV/VCR, stereo, BBQ. Galiano
Island is an excellent example of the beautiful wilderness on Canada's
West Coast, boasting wonderful beaches, forested walks, parks, and a vast
array of wildlife including whales, seals, sea lions, eagles and other
bird life and our very own family of resident deer. Galiano also offers
good restaurants, food markets, galleries and other amenities. Galiano is
50 minutes by ferry from Vancouver where we could more than likely arrange
housing as well. Vancouver is a lovely city set between the mountains and
the sea. It is very diverse in cultural and has everything to offer in
terms of restaurants and shops. |
