B.C. Vancouver has just been chosen for the 2010 Olympics. We have a 14th floor fully-renovated high-rise apartment, 800 square feet one bedroom + office. Also a balcony. All appliances except laundry [located downstairs]. Most suitable for 2 people, but there is a sofa-bed in living room. Apartment is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The outstanding feature is the fabulous water view overlooking English Bay with its boat traffic and beaches. From home we can walk to most attractions and shopping: Stanley Park, the 6 miles+ of seawall, Robson Street, theatres, art gallery, sports arenas. A small ferry nearby accesses Granville Island, Science World and the Maritime Museum. Vancouver’s attractions include the Aquarium, Grouse Mountain, Museum of Anthropology, Capilano Canyon and many others. There are many festivals in the summer, including the Shakespeare, comedy festival, the fireworks, the fringe festival, the Pacific Notional Exhibition. Day or overnight trips are easy to Victoria and Whistler or even Seattle. |
