Description. This
quaint cottage in the south west of Ireland is an ideal retreat for all in
search of a relaxing holiday in this beautiful country. The two bed roomed
converted schoolhouse, built in 1856, can sleep four comfortably, with a
double and twin room. Its open plan design makes it both comfortable and
roomy and among its many charms is the spacious study. The warmth of the
wood burning stove contribute to the cosy atmosphere of the cottage
however there is night storage heating for your additional comfort. Just
100 meters from the house a small restaurant and shop is located for your
convenience and 500 meters further on you will find a pub and restaurant
which offers as a specialty, fresh trout caught in the nearby lake.
Situated amongst some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland the
cottage is perfect for touring the Ring of Kerry and less famous, yet
equally beautiful, Ring of Beara. The Gleninchaquin valley with it's
sparkling lakes and gushing waterfall along with the world renowned Dereen
Gardens and the clear waters of Glenmore lake are also well worth a visit.
All these splendors are located near your holiday home and for our more
energetic guests they can be enjoyed in the most natural and adventurous
way, either on foot or on the two bikes which are supplied for your use.
This home is only 12 kilometers from the town of Kenmare where you can
shop, visit the variety of excellent restaurants, local pubs with their
music and story tellers, or enjoy the many amenities including horseback
riding, golfing and fresh and sea fishing.
