Allende, our three bedroom condo offers the discriminating traveler an

Miguel one of the 10 most featured cities in the World (Condo Naste). Maid

you should tip her for doing your personal laundry. The condo has balconies
in the living and sleeping areas. Master bath has tiled tub and shower,

Mexican and modern appointments. Fireplaces in rooms, but unnecessary. Gas
space heating for winter months of January. It is Spring year round in SMA;
with 7,000 feet, the warmth of the day is turned to cool at night, sleep
under blankets, with always a slight breeze bringing in the fresh air from
the surrounding mountains. To reach the downtown itself, walk down the
very steep hill of Cuesta de Santa Jose, and in 15 minutes you are in the
heart of SMA. There, you will have to decide on what restaurant you want
to have dinner in, several have international reputations. For night life
you can take in the theater, movies at the Library (DVD) and listen to
music in the park. For this city is where San Miguel led the revolution
for independence. The city is over 450 years old, and as a registered
historic landmark city, the cobblestone streets, and only two story
buildings are mandated by Federal Law. If you need to swim, there are
pools in the many fine hotels that permit one to swim for a small fee, buy
lunch and it is on them. Or, take a taxi to the hot springs and pools near
by. Golf, yes, tennis yes, walks and horseback rides are also found in SMA.
If you are in to reading and cultural matters the library is the largest English
speaking library in Mexico. It is jewel with plays, talks, movies on art,
and a restaurant that is a gem for its ambience, and food. Well that is a
brief outline on SMA...if you want to travel from SMA to other Mexican
cities, that's easy. Hop a first class bus and you can go anywhere, safe,
reasonable and on time. No more chicken buses in the major cities, and
frequent service is available anywhere in Mexico. Forget trains, of course
there is air service too, and good.
