Description.
A-framed thatch chalet
accommodating up to 6 people. Set in a Nature Reserve in the North
West Province of South Africa. Downstairs comprises of fully equipped
kitchenette, lounge, bedroom with 2 single beds and bathroom whilst
upstairs is 2 bedrooms separated by the stairwell; 2 single beds and
one double bed. The chalet has its own patio with BBQ, superb views of
the surrounding mountains and on the river front.
There is a restaurant, bar and shop on the reserve as well as tennis
courts, walks, swimming pools and kiddies playground.
Nearby attractions :Sun City and Lost City are world famous leisure
resorts. There are four hotels and two golf courses available. This is
home to the richest golf tournament in the world- "The Sun City
Million Dollar Classic"; The Sterkfontein caves are one of the
richest and most productive palaeo-anthropological sites in the world.
Amongst the most remarkable findings have been Mrs. Ples, the first
Australopithecus skull to be found and more recently "Little
Foot", a 3.3 million year old almost complete apeman skeleton
which was discovered in the same caves. The caves have recently been
awarded with "World Heritage Site" status; Lesedi Multi
cultural village in bushveld and rocky hills. An adventure that
reveals the mystical cultures of the people of Africa, their tribal
folklore and ancestral traditions; Pilanesberg Game Reserve is the
fourth largest park in South Africa and is located in a 1 200 million
year old extinct volcanic crater. The park support over 8 000 head of
game including the Big Five.
This is a holiday home so a swap need not be simultaneous, if the
dates do not suite you.
