Description. We are in our
60's, non-smokers, and have a large house near Mission Bay in San Diego.
We can travel any time, but prefer non school holidays We have exchanged
several times. There is a large upstairs bedroom & bath with a small
view of Mission Bay (one block away) and the hills beyond it. Downstairs
is a small bedroom with a twin bed & bath. The living room couch
pulls out into a very comfortable queen-sized bed. There's a sitting
room with TV and VCR, tons of CD's (mostly classical, some jazz and show
albums), a small back yard with fruit trees and other edibles, flowers
in the front. We have a well-maintained 1992 Pontiac with full
accessories. We'll take care of insurance. We're two short blocks from a
bus line which connects to all areas of San Diego. We also have two
bikes, a zillion books, Wittmeyer harpsichord, Steinway grand piano and
guitar. There's also a large, eclectic library, a grand piano and a
harpsichord. All the usual appliances are available (mod cons to you
Brits). We have no pets. Catherine has allergies to cats and dogs and
cannot be in a space which has had either in the recent past. We prefer
that exchangers not smoke in the house, as the smoke stays in the
furniture and Catherine's allergic to that too. The Old Globe Theater
and the La Jolla Playhouse are professional theaters which gave birth to
many Broadway shows, e.g., "The Full Monty," "Rent,"
and "Jane Eyre" (the musical version).
