Description. Our home is a
large, new home, in a quiet area in Golden, Colorado (20 miles northwest
of Denver). Our three kids (ages 6,8,10 yrs) enjoy the safe
neighborhood. Though in a suburban area, the home is backed on two sides
by fields (one that has a pond). It is only a 5 minute drive to the main
highway (interstate 70), but there are many birds and various wildlife
(coyote, fox, deer) that live in the back yard. The mountains are nearby
(about 10 ski areas are less that 1.5 hrs. drive). Boulder is 20 miles
north. Denver is about 25 minutes drive, and has many big city
attractions (museum, zoo, musical entertainment, etc..). The highlight
of the house is the kitchen -- it is large and modern and were we spend
of lot of our time. The house has a main floor (with master bedroom), an
upper floor (with three bedrooms), and a garden-level basement (with one
bedroom and lots of play-space). We have a dog -- it would be nice, but
not necessary, for our house-sitters to also look after our dog.
