Description. We live in
Pelham, a charming, small, pre-war village (12,000 people) that borders
New York City. Pelham has bike trails to Pelham Bay Park, the largest
park in NYC, that includes Orchard Beach and wooded trails. Train to
Manhattan is 2 min drive, 10 min walk then a 27 min ride to Grand
Central Station. Our house is a large 6-bedroom built in the 1870's with
a spacious downstairs, beautiful patio and garden, room air
conditioners, and two cars available, a minivan and an Acura sports
sedan. All amenities included: dish washer, wash/dry, 3 TVs, cable,
DVD/VCR, 4 computers. Long Island beaches are 40 min away, and Hamptons
(beautiful resort towns) are 90 minutes. Close to the Botanical Gardens
and the Bronx Zoo (12 min). Free tennis in town and good local
restaurants a 5 min walk. Public pool 10 minute drive.
