| Description. We
live in an attractive two (2) bedroom apartment on the first floor of a
private house. Our neighborhood is located in a safe, upscale section
of the Bronx, just 50 minutes by train or bus to Manhattan. The
train ($1.50 one way) is a block and a half to the North, and the
Express Bus ($3.00 each way) is only 4 short blocks to the South. The
Express bus is comfortable, quiet and extremely safe. Our neighborhood is peaceful, clean, and
charming. This is one of the safest areas in NYC. We leave our doors open
when we're home. A number of the best Italian Restaurants and Pizzeria's are within walking distance. There is also a charming shopping strip located a few blocks South. The World Famous Bronx Zoo is minutes away by car and within walking distance. Arthur Avenue (the Bronx's Little Italy) is a short drive away.
