| Description. We are a family, located in Brooklyn, New York City, looking for an exchange with a family in a US or European city . Our home is located a short walk from an express metro into Manhattan (less than a 30 minute ride) to major tourist sights or in the other direction (20 minutes) to Little Odessa, Coney Island Amusement Park, the boardwalk and the Aquarium on the Atlantic Ocean. Our home is a large Victorian turn of the century home with a wrap around porch with table and chairs for enjoying the evenings outside. We have a basketball hoop in the driveway and a climbing structure in the small, private back yard. Our home has three stories and a downstairs den. The top floor is usually used by our paying guests who experience NY on their holiday by staying with us or another NY family that my business, Homestay New York, places them in. There are two bedrooms with 4 twin beds and a bath with the original Victorian claw foot b! athtub. The drawers and closets are empty and can be used for your clothes and personal items. We have a lot of material and books about every aspect of NYC and Brooklyn in the rooms. A color TV, clock radio, and mini-refrigerator is located in each room. On the second floor we have three bedrooms. My bedroom is also an office for my business and is not for use during a trade but the two children's rooms can be used. One has a twin bed and the other a bunk bed (sleeps two). The full bath on this floor is also for use during your stay. On the first floor we have a dining room, sunny eat in kitchen, my husband's and sons office and the TV/living room. The basement play area is stocked with blocks, stuffed animals, puzzles, dolls, Brio trains, puppets and other toys for those travelers under 10. | ||
