Description. I own a modest 3
bedroom 1 bath 1902 Victorian house in Ashland, Oregon. The bathtub is a
long clawfoot tub which is definitely a selling point for the house. It is
not air conditioned but with fans and the cool, Oregon nights, is mostly
pleasant in the summer. There are 3 small porches and a yard for outdoor
eating and hanging out. There are 2 queen sized beds and one regular
futon. A car exchange is possible with my 94 Subaru station wagon. Ashland
is a small town, about 17,000 people, located in southern Oregon about 5
miles from the northern California boarder. It is located in the Rogue
Valley between the Cascade and Siskiyou mountain ranges. Ashland is about
150 miles from the Oregon Coast, about a 3 hour drive. The area has much to
offer. Both are close to Southern Oregon University and the world famous
Oregon Shakespeare Festival. White water rafting, mountain biking, hiking
and camping are easily accessible. Ashland has lots of culture and good
restaurants. There is a lovely city park that has two ponds, tennis
courts and a swimming reservoir. It is located 300 miles south of
Portland, Oregon and 400 miles north of San Francisco, California. Ashland
is a
very sweet town.
