	Description.  Our rustic cedar chalet-style home is located on a half-acre lot on the Big Deschutes River, 3 miles west of the resort community of Sunriver, in central Oregon. Paulina Peak, the rim of an ancient volcanic caldera, can be seen upriver from the house. Although several of the photos were taken in the wintertime, our summers are mostly dry and sunny. The home is comfortably furnished and would best suit four people since one of the bedrooms is now used as a music room and contains a Steinway grand piano. We've squeezed as many as 10 in here, but it's not advised. The home and location are not well suited to small children. The other bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed. There are bathrooms on both levels. Upstairs, the loft which overlooks the river has a trundle bed (2), and the bedroom has a king size bed. The newly remodeled kitchen is small, but has everything you'll need including a dishwasher and microwave. A utility room has a washer/dryer. A woodstove in the great room adds warmth and comfort. We have television, however, the only reception is PBS (public broadcasting). We also have a VCR and many videos, as well as a CD player with a large selection of classical CDs. The deck overlooking the river has a rustic log swing, picnic table and hot tub. Our large, lighted private boat dock provides ready access to the river. The home exchange could include our 1996 Dodge Caravan or 2001 Prizm (40 mpg), camping gear, a canoe, raft, and 12 ft aluminum motorboat. Mt. Bachelor, the premier ski area of the Pacific Northwest is just 18 miles away. Central Oregon offers many opportunities for enjoying the outdoors during all four seasons...hiking, skiing, boating, fishing, golfing, tennis and swimming, to name a few.
