| Description. My home is situated in North-West England in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire. The nearest town is Blackpool (3 miles away) which is England's premier coastal holiday resort. The resort area is very lively although we live on the outskirts of the town which is peaceful and quiet. Lancashire people are very friendly and I am sure you would be made very welcome should you choose to visit. My house is 5 bed roomed detached house (built 1970) on a modern development in a quiet cul-de-sac, the house is immaculate and spacious. The area is very safe. I have a 1997 Nissan Primera you could use during your visit. One of our bedrooms has been converted to a study/computer room but there are still 4 further bedrooms which should accommodate your needs easily. We have 2 bathrooms, the larger bathroom was refitted this year) large lounge , dining room and kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, washer, tumble dryer. We also have satellite TV video stereo etc etc. Gardens are spacious and very sunny in the Summer. We have a gas barbecue for use in the summer months. There is a large supermarket within a mile which caters for all needs - Pharmacy, deli, bakery etc. 4 bikes are available in the garage which you could use. Nearest airport is Manchester International - 50 miles away. The English Lake District - the most beautiful part of England is only an hour away (60 miles north) The Lakes is a must if you visit the North of England. Liverpool, home of the Beatles is also about 50 miles south. Scotland is 2 hours drive north. Royal Lytham Golf course is 8 miles away. There are loads of pubs and restaurants in this area. Blackpool is home of the Pleasure Beach where we reputably have the best roller coaster rides in the UK. | |||
